Once you apply pressure to the lever at the end of the cutting run, the tile will snap cleanly into two pieces along the line that you have scored. 

These tile cutting tools are effortless to use - even for novices. First, measure the tile you wish to cut and draw a line through it in pencil where you want to cut it. Place the tile on to the cutting board, pushing it right to the front of the tile cutter. Line up your pencil mark with the cutting line on the tile cutter. Use the lever to lower the wheel blade on to the tile, press down firmly to apply pressure and push the lever along to score the tile with the blade. At the end of the cutting run, the blade will slot into a cradle. Then, apply pressure to the lever to press the breaker bar on to the tile. Once you do this, the tile will snap neatly along the line that you have scored into the tile, leaving you with two separate pieces. Please note, you should only score the tile once before snapping it with the breaker bar, to ensure a clean, high quality cut.
