Designed as a safe and efficient on-site winching mechanism, this durable Tirfor TU16 pulling/lifting machine can be operated by just one man, using the long, rigid telescopic handle for excellent leverage and efficiency. The strong jaws inside the tough steel casing pull and hold the wire rope and, when operation ceases, the jaws lock, spreading the weight of the load evenly. This tough mechanism allows Tirfor winch TU16 to lift loads weighing up to 1600kg, and pull up to 2500kg. These versatile winches can work in any position- horizontal, vertical or angled, and they can be used in all areas of construction and industry for a variety of applications - whether it be on building sites to position concrete beams, in the rail industry for the laying of lines and signals, or in telecoms. for positioning antennas. These winches are portable and convenient enough to be installed and removed quickly and easily, but provide the safety and reliability expected from a large industrial winching machine. Whether lifting or lowering the load, it is completely controlled and supported by the tough, specially designed wire rope, and the machine controls the load with the utmost precision. Weighing just 20kg, this light-weight, compact winch is an extremely practical mechanism for a contractor, as it can be easily stored in the back of a van, taken to the site, and quickly installed to provide precise, reliable lifting. The simple design allows for quick installation and continuous operation without jamming. Whilst using the winch, you must wear appropriate protective equipment to reduce the risk of injury – including heavy-duty working gloves, a hard hat and toe-capped boots.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
An insurance charge will be calculated at checkout. If you have proof of your own Hired-In Plant Insurance (HIPI) and wish to opt-out of the insurance charge, you can do so by booking via Live Chat.
