Our floor sander and edging sander package deal allows you to hire both floor sanding machines together at a reduced rate compared to hiring both machines separately. The larger machine allows you to sand areas of wooden floorboards in the home, in halls, corridors and more – including outdoor decking. The edging sander is used to finish up the edges, and get closer to the skirting, where the larger machine can't reach, with just a 10-15mm gap. The edging sander allows you to finish the job off properly, for a high quality, professional finish. You can book a hire online or over the phone and then either collect from your local store or we can deliver to you.
For safety and convenience, these machines both feature an integrated vacuum that vacuums the wood dust produced during sanding and deposits it into a disposable dust collection bag - preventing inhalation and minimising mess. You must prepare the room properly before using the floor sanders. Ensure that you remove any obstacles from the room, including furniture and fixtures. Secure any loose floor boards and check for raised nails or screws. Ensure that any raised nails or screws are knocked down beneath the surface of the floorboards before you begin sanding.
We can supply sanding sheets for our floor sanders, sanding discs for our edging sanders and the disposable dust collection bags. You can add these to your order during the online checkout process, or when ordering over the phone. We recommend using at least 3 of each grit of sanding sheet per room, per machine. Also, at least 2 dust bags per room, per machine. We can also supply extension leads and Personal Protection Packs. These packs give you the appropriate personal protection equipment to wear whilst using a floor sander - safety goggles, safety gloves, dust mask and ear plugs. Please ensure that the sanding plate that holds down the sanding sheet is fully screwed in before operating the machine. Failure to do so can result in damage to the machine or the floor.

I hired both machines together to get the discount, even though I wasn't sure I would need the edging sander. However, I was glad in the end because it did save me quite a bit of time and gave a better finish compared to doing it by hand. I would recommend the kit deal.

The deal for the floor sander package hire was really good. The price for the 2 sanders combines with delivery was the best I had found so I booked the weekend floor sander hire online.
