Our electric log splitters allow you to deal with large volumes of branches, logs and trunk sections quickly, efficiently and with minimal effort. These machines use a hydraulic arm to push the log up against a splitting blade. This blade splits the wood efficiently, to leave you with two much smaller separate sections which can easily be moved and stored for firewood and other purposes. These hydraulic log splitters are 240v Iris 8 tonne log splitters. They are a convenient size for transport and they are easy enough to use at home or on profesisonal jobs. Despite their compact profile, these machines are heavy duty enough to deal with large volumes of wood quickly.
Our 240v hydraulic log splitters feature a heavy duty splitting bed and two lever control for fast, simple and efficient log splitting. These log splitting machines also have an adjustable wedge to accommodate logs of different sizes and a two speed hydraulic cylinder for increased wood splitting speed depending on the type of wood you want to split.
Using our electric log splitters is straightforward, even if you have never used a log splitter before. Simply place a log on to the splitting bed and pull the lever, then the hydraulic arm harnesses its 8 tonnes of power to push the log up against the splitting blade and efficiently break the log into two separate pieces. With a cycle time of 14 seconds, you can split vast quantities of wood in no time. As these log splitters are 240v pieces of equipment they can be used at home by DIY users and simply plugged into a domestic 240v mains plug socket.

I spent a whole day spitting logs and now the wood store is nearly fully stocked. My only complaint is that it wasn't available for 2 weeks when I originally called to hire it, but it was explained that they were new to the fleet and very popular.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
An insurance charge will be calculated at checkout. If you have proof of your own Hired-In Plant Insurance (HIPI) and wish to opt-out of the insurance charge, you can do so by booking via Live Chat.
